Good day
I hope that will be easy for every body to open this link :p

http://books.google.fr/books?id=aLM9AAAAIAAJ&pg=PA44&lpg=PA44&dq=indian+craftsmen+daggers+swords&source=bl&ots=MMlOr0Y-V6&sig=Ehq1eVXy38QXWSUy4uVwk5AvdeI&hl=fr&sa=X&ei=wPuXT62mNKua0QXUypCOBg&ved=0CCEQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false

see pages 44 & 45 ... but ... in fact all pages are interesting :p

I'm just discovering that, the Saudi belt that I bought in Riyadh some years ago,
it's for men and women and not for women only ... as well as I was believing
I will have to make an fixing operation, some buttons are gone out, I've them
but in order to respect the tradition, it must be done with tiny leather straps ...
not obvious ... at all :o

all the best

Salaams Dom ~ I wasnt quite sure what was going to be the content when I opened your post :) but I see it is rather an excellent display of Saudia jewellery and the weapon in the lower right corner which is so similar to the Omani (Muscat)Khanjar and which it appears belongs to a family group known as the "habaabi" I see similar or identical weapons emanating from the Asir region that was Yemeni before 1923 but now is in Saudia . The other jewellery are typical Saudia Yemeni derivatives and look to be silver mixtures possibly with copper added thus giving a greyish tone. They look sandcast. Typical of the region. Very interesting Dom; shukran.
