New to me . :)

I can't imagine how difficult this was to make .

There appears to be a sepuhan(?) halfway up the wilah .

An old keris .

A nice keris indeed. Only pamor on gonjo is a little bit out of control.

Here a Riau keris with Adeg Wengkon. Sometimes you encounter Sumatran and Peninsula kerisses with some difficult kind of Pamor, which is fairly well done.

Well executed Adeg Wengkon..I don't want to comment its making process because I am no more than keris lover. I have shared a blade with interesting pamor, probably anybody can tell me what is pamor's name.

Very nice kris but from the pictures the tikel alis? and pejetan look a bit odd, may be just an impression.

Thanks Rick, elegance is the best word to describe this. The pendok works beautifully

I'm glad you like it . :)
The repousse work on the pendok is quite detailed compared to newer examples .

Karttikeya, might i suggest that you start a new thread for your keris. Since it is not a adeg wengkon pamor it seems a bit out of place in this discussion.

Jean, i am uncertain exactly what you mean by odd (size?shape?position?altered?), but i think that the way the pamor lies in both these areas coupled with the way the keris has been photographed might might be a little misleading as to the actual form.
Rick, can you take some close-ups of this area? :)

Sure David . :)
The details seem fairly typical of Jogja work .
The pamor does confuse the eye .
Note the different color of the core material .

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the detailed pictures of the sorsoran, very nice.
What I meant by "odd" from the original pictures is that because of the tikel alis the pamor line is wider on the gandik, and the pejetan does not look perfecty symmetrical, but it is not a big deal. :)

Worth a bump!

Well, I still like it very much, Jussi . ;)

I think the dress has a nice combined 'presence' ; in keeping with the quality of the Wilah . :)

I guess when I look at The Solyums' book and I see the size of the rough forging required, then think that somewhere in there when this particular blade was forged was pre-planned this keris ...

Well then I am in awe ...

another technic of wengkon, it was pain to see the edge of blade splitted out already : :(

Good pamor work, yet looks to me like a new keris artificially (and aggressively) aged.

A pity, it would be not a bad keris in original state.

The Hartadi keris, Gustav?

Yes, in the pics it does look recent, but I don't think it is.

I cannot know with any certainty from the pics and would need to handle it, but there are a number of stylistic characteristics that are at variance with current production keris. It would not surprise me if this keris does have a bit of age.

the wengkon's on my blade is firmly borded vertical arround pamor. thats why on some point we can see clearly the space (gap) between pamor, wengkon, and the iron

Gustav, i'm agree with Alan that mine is the old blade. splitted iron is on the edge (pucukan) will attached some more pics in advance
