Wahhabit djambyia, called Sabiki,
wearing by the Bedouins of the region of
- Asir/Hijaz - KSA
- Marib - Yemen ..
normally, the blade should have a fine decor in place of "ricasso"
as per the pic attached, or may be erased by an heavy cleaning of the blade
production of 20th century, in any way, a very nice one, very well typed

Hi Joel,
Nice piece . As DOM says, called Sabiki and also DHARIA, from West KSA Asir/Hijaz area but also down as far as Yemen. The term "wahabite" is commonly used to describe these long bladed daggers/short swords.
If you go back to the recent thread "Show us your Jambiya", you will see others of this type.

Hi Joe,
Sorry for misspelling your name. Took Joe1 as Joel. :o Anyway I see you are a new Member so welcome to the Forum. It occurs that you may not yet be able to access prior threads so have attached here a pic of other so called "wahabite" daggers for your interest.
Regards Stu
