A new member to the club, Sulka people? 122cm long, early 20th century.

Very nice, how is the head attached to the club? Neat looking piece.

Thank you Iain. I am pleased with it. It is carved from one piece of wood as is the other one I show here.

Nice one Tim,
You certainly do find these interesting pieces!
How about a group shot of all?

CONGRADULATIONS ON THE CLUB :) I HAVEN'T DONE MUCH RESEARCH ON THESE FORMS AS I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIND ONE BUT WILL POST SOME PICTURES OF VARIATIONS OF THE FORM. THEY ARE IDENTIFIED AS SULKA CLUBS FROM NEW BRITIAN BUT ALSO AS COMING FROM THE BISMARK ARCHEPELIGO SO VARIATIONS MAY OCCUR ON SEVERAL ISLANDS.

Thanks for the clarification Tim and humoring the probably silly question. I asked because of the different color tones in the wood, even more impressive to know it's a single piece!
