I saw this one in a box by an acquaintance in his office. When i asked him what he did with it, he said nothing. Do you want to sell it, i asked him?
Take it and be happy with it he replied. It was a gift and i'm happy with it.
Would like to hear your comments.

More recent Visasyan piece. Nice, especially for free. :)

Hello Henk,
it's a binangon from Panay. Would guess a late example from the last century. See this thread for comparison: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=11550
Still a nice and well worked sword.:)

Good catch Sajen (my brain died for a minute there :( ). I still say that it is very recent - notice the newness of the bands and leather. That or they are very recent replacements. However, the blade is also rather recent IMHO.

Hello Jose,
think that your first words about mine!?
Agree with you that the one from Henk is a recent one, wood of the handle, leather throat and brass bands look very new. So my guess it is from end of the last century. :)

I certainly will Rick.
For the other gentlemen. Thank you for your input. Like Sajen said, a well and nice worked sword although it is recent.
