Picked these up with a large collection relating to the war in Burma .The spearhead was in the scabbard but I cant see that they are related as they are not really a good fit. . Does anyone know what either of these items are and where they originate from ?
The scabbard is 48 cm long and 8 cm wide , it is wood with a leather covering. The spear is 45 cm long including the socket , and is 6 cm wide at the widest point .The has a diameter of approx 3 cm.
Thanks.

THIS STRIKES ME AS AFRICAN, ETHIOPIA (ABYSENNIA) OR SUDAN. UNUSUAL IN THE REGION FOR A SPEAR TO HAVE SUCH A SCABBARD PERHAPS IT WAS WORN AS A SHORT SWORD OR KNIFE AND A CONVIENENT STAFF COULD EASILY CONVERT IT TO A SPEAR. JUST GUESSES  THE POINT LOOKS LIKE A WELL MADE OLDER ONE WITH A NEWER SCABBARD BUT IT TOO SHOWS SOME AGE. NICE ONE :)

Thanks ... it certainly has a feel of age and quality , but I am not convinced that the 2 items belong together.
