A good friend of mine has asked me to show this Pala on the Forum. Any comments and especially translation :) will be much appreciated.

Nice Ottoman Turkish pala. Can't contribute much except that I think I see at least a couple of bismallah (names of God) and maybe a Quranic verse or two on the blade. Great condition. I also see some evidence of wootz. A great piece.

Yes, it is a very nice sword and it seems to have a Wootz blade (from pictures at least, I haven't seen it in person...)
Dom: what will we (on the Forum) do without your Arabic translations? :) But let it be fun for you and not a stress :)

I'm a little bite disappointed, a lot of religious invocations
and few I.D. but, let hope so, that what we have been unable to translate
will give us some other indications ;)

This inscription is absolutely beautifully done, and it was quite a riddle (to read) I believe :)
