Hi everybody
let me introduce you my last "friend"
"Shula" early 1920's
dagger single-edged curved-blade from Moroccan Berber tribes

grip made from a light colored aries horn with inlaid twisted brass wire decor

well forged blade and nicely fullered up-curving blade 22 cm (± 9 inches), back edge, nicely engraved with geometric design

scabbard covered with tooled red leather in fairly good condition

"Shula" total length 37 cm (± 14 inches) - blade only 22,50 cm (± 9 inches)

now, it will joint to his "big brother" :p
all comments, information complement are welcomed, thanks per anticipation

2 groups for pics
- condition as I received it
- how it's looks now :D

Yes nice. I gravitate toward the brass scabbarded one myself.

These are nice, but just to show how different peoples taste tend to be I prefer the leather scabbard over the brass one:shrug: .

Very nice shulas Dom! Looking at the pictures, I noticed something strange - the blades of the small and the big one are curved in a different direction. Is this the case, or is the big one's hilt decorated on both sides?
Regards,
Teodor

sharp view Teodor :D ... you are a good investigator ;)
after discovered this particularity, I tried to imagine ... "why" ??
- left hand user w/right hand user
- I think that the system of cords suspensor (3 points) and the small only 2, should have an impact (?)
anyway, the big one's hilt hasn't a decor on both side

I agree with Robert,
but according with ; size of edged weapons and quality of scabbard,
those dagger wasn't destined for the same social class of people, pure speculation :o
the brass scabbard owner was (may be) socially above the the leather scabbard bearer ;)
