Reciently I have bought this machete http://www.antiqueswords.com/product-1859-A-German-made-Machete-for-the-South-American-Market--ca.-1900.htm
, and I´m wondering about the hilt, because is very similar with some bolos of Philippines, the blade and the leather scabbard is normal, like anothers machetes used by Spanish in Cuba and Philippines.
Opinions?
Best regards
carlos

Doesn't look like a machete blade to me. In that incarnation it looks like a hunting sword.
Very strange, but really nice!
The tip is very odd.

I´m happy to see machete seems nice to you . Normally the machetes used by spanish in Cuba mainly and Philippines have this form.I have several of them.
