My personal club collection is growing well.
Some have found new homes in order to make way for others.
Yesterday this example arrived and has found its way into the collection along side of Fijian and NG clubs.
It is the first African one I have wanted to put aside, mainly due to the nice colour, patina and the interesting collar carving.
Is anyone able to place this into a specific region as my knowledge on such exact subjects is limited.

Thanks

Hi Gave

Very nice club.

It's unfortunate you have only one photo and the light makes it difficult to see the colour of the wood. Are their two tones? Is their a darker shade to the wood than appears in the photo?

And is the entire club made of one piece of wood?

G'day Ron'e' :), thanks, I like it.

The wood is a sinlge piece and a single colour, it is 67cms long.

I hope this full image shows things a little better.

It seems to be a late 19th to early 20th century Zulu knobkerrie. :)

Thanks Lew,

Does the collar denote anything?
