Hello all! The inscription on the blade is unreadable in this condition?

I can’t offer much help, as I am collection Indian weapons myself, but when it comes to the blade types there is an article from 1972 in the yearbook of Danish Arms and Armour Society, the yearbook n XVIII.
Unfortunately it is in Danish but there are pictures as well. The article is written by H. Jacobsen and is called the Mogul-Kilidj’en.
I know it is not of much help, but I do hope it will bring you a bit further.
Brons Hansen another Danish collector/dealer also had a fantastic collection of Turkish weapons, and they also published a year boo of his collection but there was also many other weapons.
BTW lovely pictures you show :)

Hi Hara,
It is hard to say if it is text or decoration, but my guess is hat it is decoration. Nice old sword, but please show the hand guard plate in detail. Is it showing two birds?
Indian Art in Marlborough House, which is a catalogue over gifts the Prince of Wales, was given on his visit to India in 1875-76.
In Case A no 1 is a tulwar with a hilt like the one you have. The one given to the Prince was studded with gems, and yours don’t seem to be – but the hilt form is the same. It was given by H.H. the Nizam.
