A piece of the finest quality.
This great escopeta, dated 1840, with a genuine Miquelete percussion action (not a conversion), has an 18th century flintlock barrel, a most used practice in the period, by means of the sophisticated introduction of a section called "culatin".
Lock, trigger guard and caps case signed by brothers RODRIGVEZ, from Cortegana, in the Cadiz province.
Stock a la Catalana, full length, an unusual feature for the period, as these were normaly half stocked.
Superb overall condition, with all parts original.
