Good find, Alexander,

I used to know that guy and assisted him building up his collection for 12 years. Unfortunately, some 5 years ago he stopped collecting for some reason or other and at the same time severed all contacts. Never found out what had happened.

Best,
Michael

Is the 455 mm total length or barrel length?

Hi Alexander,

As the text does not say otherwise it is most probably the total length. Length in Germany generally means the total length unless specified otherwise.

Best,
Michael

I have accepted that 455 mm is the total length. Then I Have calculated all others sizes. It has appeared that a thickness of the barrel is 1,7 mm in the bottleneck. the weight of barrel without rings and the plug is 450 g. I think that 455 is tho only length of barrel but not a total length becaurse barrel can not be such thin and such light. If we will accepted that 455 mm is the only barrel length and will calculate another sizes and weight then thikness or barrel in the bottlenock will be 6 mm fnd weight of barrel will be 2400 g without rings and plags. It will correspond to weight of 2,9 kg if we add weights of rings and the plug. So I think that the 455 mm is toe only barrel length. At calculation I considered that density of a steel is 7800 kg/m3
