as per the description, a true work of art. the native americans of the plains just don't make 'em like that anymore :). other examples of such quality and uniqueness are essentially non-existant.

it is possible this was the knife that scalped gen. custer ;)

for those who wanted to bid on this historic piece and lost out, i have a bridge in NY that is for sale, it goes from manhattan to brooklyn and is a genyouwhine antique, having been completed in 1883. legend has it that chief crazy horse worked on the construction of this bridge and carried the subject knife, which he had used to scalp gen. custer, until arrested by a nyc policeman for possession of an offensive weapon. the knife has laguished in a hidden drawer on riker's island ever since, until it's recent rediscovery. all reasonable offers (in the neighbourhood of US$100,000,001.27) considered, which must be accompanied by a 10% non-refundable deposit in gold.

sadly, it is now for pickup by buyer only. tried ups, dhl and royal mail's parcel force, but their rates were outrageous, and when i mentioned the lizard, they hung up..

luckily it is currently located near the river in a major seaport and disassembles relatively easily into convenient sized sub-units (lizard excepted).

(did i mention the line of slightly used liberty ships i have available on another forum?)

The kicker is I sent the seller pics of other jiles and he told me they looked nothing like his and he said his was definately American Indian. :D You just can't argue with stubborn people. :shrug:
