An old blade, quite thick and stiff, with a fuller which is forged rather than ground and has seen a great deal of sharpening and wear.
Only 24" so shortened at some time and, unusually for a kaskara, reinforced (beneath the langets) on each side with riveted strips which go into the hilt - a new tang, perhaps?
The scabbard, even down to its aluminium chape, is very similar to:
