For sale:
French AN XI sabre briquet and leather scabbard. Brass hilt dated 1837. Knuckleguard marked 'PC' possibly for P. Cazamou (controller at Chatellerault 1832-1843). Quillon marked with a letter 'V' (verified).
The 60cm long blade is marked with a 'D' with a star in a circle.
The hilt is in good condition although the blade does have some light to medium pitting and has some edge nicks. Blade cleaned.
The scabbard is present and is in good condition apart from the fact that it is in two parts. This isn't too noticeable when the sword is sheathed.
