Hi Dom, please have a look at this dagger and tell me about it. I have lots of enthusiasm but not much knowledge!
All comments welcome.

It is a Shibriya, a variant of jambiya of a "Palestinian" origin, encompassing Israel, West Bank and Jordan. They have this peculiar "dogleg" configuration of the blade and, usually, tin metal scabbard and handle. Very "homemade" quality, as a rule.

definitively :D

thanks every body, you answered perfectly :p
I may be absent ... soon ... effective from beginning of June for 1 month
already my truck (Nissan Patrol 4wheels drive) it's in French harbour
to be unloaded to Baltimore,
then => "Lincoln Highway" until San Francisco CA, and back to France

if some contributors of the Ethnographic Arms & Armour are located not too far of that highway
please have a look of "The 2009 MVPA* Convoy" - "Lincoln Highway" when will be time
http://www.mvpa.org/ (down at left)
and look for me, we will have a chat, and a glass together

So SORRY for that "out subject"

* MVPA for Military Vehicule Preservation Association :o :D

Here is another Shibryia. Different to Brian's, but same blade shape. Believed to be Palestinian in origin. :)

the transcription of the blade engraving inscription, could be ;
