This curved, double edged dagger blade has a plated finish and is 8¾ inches (22 cm) in length from the tip to the blade shoulder. The edges are somewhat irregularly sharp, but the blade appears to have been made by the notorious modern technique of fusing two pieces of sheet metal embossed with a mid rib together. The proximal most part of the blade and the stubby rat tail tang are covered with dried tar like material (cutler's resin?) that likely once secured a now absent hilt. The length from tip to end of tang is about 9½ inches (24.3 cm) with a weight of 3 ounces (86 grams).
