The hilt of this takouba of "southern" type is covered entirely with sheet brass showing punch-embossed decoration, most worn on the grip. The pommel shows a low broad stacked pyramidal structure, with each layer being of brass. The scabbard is plain, formed of red-brown leather without metallic embellishments.

The blade is of the typical form, having three narrow fullers, the central being the longest. The fullers are probably ground, the central fuller being discontinuous on the opposite side of the blade. The half-moon marks are clearly identifiable as such. Overall length: 90.5 cm. (35.5 inches); blade length: 75 cm. (29.5 inches).
